The diet of Dr. Oz

Placed in health by yisha

Famous heart surgeon Dr.Oz, the doctor who frequently airs on the Oprah Winfrey show, has made a very healthy diet. He advises to eat a lot of tomatoes, which can help you to look younger. Coffee is not only a nice hot drink, but it helps you by activating your brains. Olive oil, he says, is very healthy and one should use it as a salad dressing in stead of mayonaise. A person should also sleep and exercise well, Dr.Oz says. This will make you stronger. This diet is not a real diet, it’s a way of living. Once you have tried it, you don’t go back to your old pattern of eating and living! Dr. Oz and his colleague Dr. Roizen have written a book, you the owners manual. This book is already a bestseller.

many people think it is healthier to take calcium supplements rather than use milk products - regrettably i cannot understand why this has not been put clearly to the people- are the milk company’s to powerful to take on by the medical profession.

I need to know what sugar Dr. Ozz refered to on the Ophary show last season . He said it was very seet to our plaites and was natural, nothing like table sugar. It started with a P I think. It was not Spenda or those others you see on the self. Need to know what he was talking about Thanks. Baudouin

      Reply to Baudouin,
The sugar mentioned by Dr Oz is called Stevia. You can buy it at whole foods or Trader Joes markets. It just takes a little since it’s highly concentrated. Stevia is a natural plant. I use it all the time but never use it in the same proportion as sugar. Good luck to you

My doughter was diagnosed with croh’s disease. What Dr. Oz would recomend to treat the disease with other then toxic medicatiod which is more deadly then crohn’s itself.

Does anyone remember the name of the small plate of greenish plant leafs that were on a plate that Oprah ate with Dr. Oz (it was the diet show that featured his “green drink”).

Oprah liked it - it was a plant you could mix in with a salad.

      Thank you.

Arjan, you’re right. Excuse me but I think the spelling is different…purslane is a plant that can be identified online. Most of us can find it in warm weather in and around our yards particularly near sidewalks. It has a slight lemony taste and is excellent in salads mixed with other greens and vegetables.

Baudouin, in addition to Stevia that can be found in liquid or powdered form there is a sweetener called agave nectar that Dr. Oz has mentioned. I have only found it in liquid form at grocery stores like Whole Foods or Trader Vic’s, etc. It is very pleasant tasting.

After reading and finding information through seminars and licensed wholistic diet practioners I am beginning a natural, organic way of living and eating. It has been difficult to find the necessary ingredients at grocery stores/natural food stores that have an abundant supply of organic foods. With that in mind, I am also finding that I dislike meats, poultry and fish. I am beginning to become a vegan without my knowing it! Once beginning to eat a more natural/organic balance of foods, your taste buds and cravings change completely. This is my first month of eating without processed foods. A major realization that natural foods are very hard or are almost non-existant in the fast food market, including upscale grocery stores that have a Deli cafe and claim to be a whole food, natural or organic business. Also, organic/natural foods are more expensive than the processed treated with peticide regualar grocery store foods. My quest, to find great recipe’s that are healthy, organic and can be served for others that are not vegan. Besides growing my own garden, where can cost saving healthy, organic foods be found? (Growing herbs naturally this year, flour sprinkled on the leaves of plants seems to ward off plant eating bugs.)
